Unusual flower basket made in the shape of traditional Japanese chest-armor. Chikuunsai I used rare aged kinmeichiku (金明竹), or golden-color bamboo, a prize material whose knotty nodes give this basket a very robust feel. Chikuunsai I seemed to to use only special materials for this basket, as we have seen one other of its kind made almost entirely from antique arrow shafts.
